Portal Customization

Make your Public Portal match your brand with custom colors, logo, and welcome message.

Branding Options

Access branding settings in Project Settings → Public Portal → Branding.

Upload your company logo to display at the top of the portal:

  1. Click "Upload Logo"
  2. Select an image (PNG, JPG, SVG recommended)
  3. Maximum file size: 2MB
  4. Recommended dimensions: 200x50px or similar aspect ratio

The logo appears in the portal header alongside your project name.

Colors

Customize the portal color scheme:

SettingDescriptionDefault
Primary ColorButtons, links, vote indicators#6366f1 (Indigo)
Background ColorPage background#ffffff (White)
Text ColorMain text color#1f2937 (Gray 800)

Use the color picker or enter hex values directly.

Colors should have sufficient contrast for accessibility. The portal automatically adjusts some UI elements for readability.

Welcome Message

Add a custom message that appears at the top of your portal:

Share your ideas and vote on features you'd like to see!

This is a great place to:

  • Explain what the portal is for
  • Set expectations for response times
  • Thank users for their feedback

Maximum length: 500 characters.

Powered by UserHero

Toggle the "Powered by UserHero" badge in the footer:

  • On: Shows attribution link (default)
  • Off: Hides the badge (Pro plan only)

Live Preview

As you adjust branding settings, the preview panel updates in real-time. This lets you experiment with colors and see exactly how your portal will look before saving.

Saving Changes

Click "Save" to apply your branding changes. The portal updates immediately—no deployment needed.

Dark Mode Support

The portal automatically respects the visitor's system preference for dark mode. Your colors are adapted to work well in both light and dark themes.

Best Practices

Logo Guidelines

  • Use a transparent background (PNG or SVG)
  • Ensure the logo is readable at small sizes
  • Horizontal logos work better than square ones

Color Guidelines

  • Use your brand's primary color for the accent
  • Maintain high contrast between text and background
  • Test both light and dark mode appearances

Welcome Message Tips

  • Keep it short and friendly
  • Explain what kind of feedback you're looking for
  • Set expectations (e.g., "We review submissions weekly")
