The Public Portal is a customer-facing page where users can view, vote on, and comment on feedback submissions. It's perfect for building transparency with your users and letting them participate in shaping your product roadmap.

What is a Public Portal?

A Public Portal is a branded webpage hosted at userhero.co/portal/your-slug where visitors can:

• Browse feedback - See all public feedback submissions
• Vote on ideas - Upvote feedback they support
• Add comments - Share their thoughts on existing feedback
• Submit new feedback - Contribute their own ideas (coming soon)

Key Features

Voting System

Users identify themselves with just their email and name (no account required). Their email is used to:

• Track votes (one vote per email per feedback)
• Allow unvoting if they change their mind
• Prevent spam with simple math captcha

Comments

Visitors can comment on any public feedback. Comments include:

• Author name
• Message (up to 1000 characters)
• Timestamp

Staff members can reply to comments directly from the dashboard with a "Staff" badge.
